How long does it take to build a custom website?
It varies. You would probably prefer to get a more precise estimate, but since we specialize in custom web development, every project we work on is unique. On top of that, we handle projects of any size, from small personal or business websites to large SAAS applications.
However, to give you a general idea, small business websites usually take 4-8 weeks to complete. E-commerce stores and web applications may require 8-16 weeks (2-4 months) of work, while large SAAS platforms and complex web applications can take 6-8 months.
Do I need to write all the content for my new website?
The short answer is no. It would be ideal if you provided us with all the content, you have the most in-depth knowledge about your business after all. However, we realize that running your business is completely different than writing about it.
We work with several editors and copywriters ready to assist you if needed. We can write content for your whole website based on your guidelines and instructions, or we can review & edit the content you provide to us.
Do you outsource any of your web development work?
No. Your project will be directly created by Level7. We do not outsource any web development to third-party companies. In addition to that, all our developers live and work in the United States. None of the development will be done overseas.
Can I use hosting provided by another company?
Unfortunately, no. We truly care about the quality of our work and the performance & security of websites and applications that we build for our clients. We always make sure that all its pieces work well together. This applies to hosting as well. Properly configured servers are critical to your website's performance, stability and compatibility.
Our servers are carefully fine-tuned and optimized to provide the best environment for your website/application to operate. In addition, our setup allows our technical staff to do all the required server or website maintenance and to quickly and efficiently troubleshoot any issues you may need assistance with.
What are the costs to operate the website after it's launched?
We do not charge any licensing fees. Your ongoing expenses will be limited to hosting, along with any potential fees charged by third-party service providers, if your project relies on any specific integrations. We disclose and explain to you all the expected costs before you sign the contract.
Although not required, most of our clients end up also retaining us for ongoing support and maintenance after their project is complete. Many of our clients decide to include ongoing development as well, to keep enhancing and adapting the application as their business grows.
